Another example of 1930s French Art Deco lettering from the 1934 publication L'Art du Tracé Rationnel de la Lettre (which roughly translates to “The Rational Path Art of the Letter”) resulted in the digital typeface French Slab Serif JNL.
This bold and slightly eccentric slab serif design is available in both regular and oblique versions.

The 1939 French publication “Modèles de lettres modernes par Georges Léculier” ( “Models of Modern Letters by Léculier”) presented some unique and stylized type designs with Art Deco influence.
One such example is an abstract modular alphabet constructed of rectangles and circles. This is now available as Modular Deco JNL, in both regular and oblique versions.

An instructional page from a vintage lettering book displayed online showed the construction of an Art Deco sans design with varying widths and stylized character shapes. This was the basis for Eccentric Sans JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Cybermontage is a postmodern display typeface reminiscent of a particularly rad 1980’s/1990’s typographic trend. This anything-but-boring design trend employed campy colors, clean geometric shapes, torn paper edges, faux finishes and kitschy patterns. A common tactic was to scramble glyphs from various typefaces, especially art deco, nineteenth-century grotesques, old metal headliners and minimalist geometric designs. Cybermontage uses OpenType technology to automatically shuffle several variations to create a pseudorandomized effect. If your application doesn’t support OpenType, you can access all these character variations from the Unicode Private Use Area, also known as PUA encoding.

Eight years after the initial release of Brandon Grotesque, the typeface has grown into a font family of 48 styles, including a version for small sizes and a space saving condensed version. This type family was completely drawn from scratch with the look and feel of the original normal-width version. The character set contains Western and Eastern European latin languages, basic symbols and punctuation. The Capital letters has geometric patterns and in place of lowercase letters there are filled in Capitals.
